About the Shawnee Dispatch

Our mission

The mission of the Dispatch is simple: Tell stories that reflect the community and its diversity. Tell readers how government makes a difference in their lives. Give readers a newspaper that's looking out for their interests. And do it all with a human face.

"Our approach to the news is that it's all about people, about you and your neighbors."

Point of View

Do you think it is important for Shawnee to be bicycle-friendly?

I think it’s important. I do love and use the paths, but it would be nice to have lanes so we could use bikes to run errands - saving gas!
