Rose and Jenneman
Rebecca Rose and Ryan Jenneman were married June 9, 2007, at the Lenexa United Methodist Church. The Rev. Jan Hayen performed the ceremony. A reception followed at the Lake Quivira Country Club.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Van Rose of Shawnee and the granddaughter of Mrs. Robert Rose of Lenexa. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Steve Jenneman of Pevely, Mo.
The bride, a graduate of Shawnee Mission Northwest High School, received a B.S. in biology from Truman State University, where she belonged to Delta Zeta sorority, and a B.S. in clinical laboratory science from Kansas University. She is a microbiologist at Barnes Jewish Medical Center in St. Louis, Mo.
The groom, a graduate of Fox High School, received a B.S. in biology and an M.S. in education from Truman State. He teaches and coaches at Fox High School in Arnold, Mo. The couple make their home in Imperial, Mo.
Lori Grechus was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Elaine Cobb, Nicole Guethle, Amy Kasten (sister of the groom) and Kim Linneman.
Shawn Guethle was best man. Groomsmen were Chris Guethle, Michael Guethle, Ryun Kasten (brother-in-law of the groom) and Brian Rose (brother of the bride).
Anniversary
Rieke
John and Nola Stafford Rieke of Shawnee are celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary.
They were married Aug. 3, 1957.
Their children include John Jr. (Susan), Jean Maurer, Joyce Warriner (Todd), Jane Swortwood (Michael) and Julie Bauer (Christian). They also have 13 grandchildren.
They will celebrate with a family dinner on the Country Club Plaza.

Do you think it is important for Shawnee to be bicycle-friendly?
I think it’s important. I do love and use the paths, but it would be nice to have lanes so we could use bikes to run errands - saving gas!
