Lauren Kostas and J.R. Lobner
James and Sheila Kostas of Shawnee and John and Becky Lobner of De Soto announce the engagement and upcoming marriage of their children, Lauren Kostas and J.R. Lobner.
Both are graduates of De Soto High School and of Pittsburg State University. The bride-to-be is a registered nurse at St. Joseph Medical Center. The groom works for John's Auto Repair.
The wedding is planned for Oct. 27 in Shawnee.

Do you think it is important for Shawnee to be bicycle-friendly?
I think it’s important. I do love and use the paths, but it would be nice to have lanes so we could use bikes to run errands - saving gas!
