Anniversary

Pemberton

James and Shirley Pemberton of Shawnee will celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary Sept. 3.
Their children and spouses are Linda and Darell Ptacek of Shawnee and Mark and Cathy Pemberton of Martinez, Calif. The couple has three grandsons and their spouses and four great-grandchildren in the Kansas City area.

Clark

Bob and Vada Clark, Shawnee, are celebrating their 60th wedding anniversary this year on Aug. 26.
Bob was born in Iowa and reared in Lincoln, Neb., and Sterling, Kan. Vada was born and reared in Jetmore, Kan. They met at Sterling College in Sterling.
They were married in the Jetmore Presbyterian Church.
Bob retired in 1986 as quality control manager at Bayer in Shawnee. Vada retired in 1986 as a secretary at Flint Elementary School in the Shawnee Mission School District. They have lived in Shawnee for 52 years.
They have three sons. Charlie and Carl live in Shawnee, and Don lives in Rosenberg, Texas. The Clarks have seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Engagement

Ferbezar and Ammerman

David and Karen Ferbezar and Chris and Lynn Ammerman, all of Shawnee, announce the engagement of their children, Adriane Ferbezar and Eric Ammerman.
The bride-to-be graduate from Shawnee Mission Northwest High School in 2005 and from Kansas University in 2009 with an elementary education degree. She will begin student teaching and pursuing her master's degree in the fall.
The prospective groom graduated from Shawnee Mission North High School in 2004 and from KU in 2008 with an English education degree. He will teach at Mill Valley High School this fall.
The couple plan a winter wedding.
