Clouse and Stiles
Pete and Loretta Clouse, Kingman, announce the engagement of their daughter, Rachael, to Trevor Stiles, son of Tim and Sharon Stiles, Shawnee.
The bride-to-be is a graduate of Kingman High School and Wichita State University. She is employed at Travelers Insurance as a senior agency training executive in Overland Park.
The prospective groom attended high school at Shawnee Mission Northwest High School and is a graduate of Kansas State University and University of Missouri–Kansas City School of Law. He is currently a practicing attorney at the law firm of Berman and Rabin, P.A., in Overland Park.
Rachael and Trevor are planning their wedding for Oct 24, 2009, in Kingman.

Bernard and Jones
Tiffany Mae Bernard and Brian L. Jones were married May 16, 2009, at Zimmerman Kill Creek Farm, De Soto, with Gerald Vaughn officiating.
The bride is the daughter of Willy and Melanie Bernard, Shawnee. The groom is the son of Jim Jones and Barbara Barncord, both of Tonganoxie.
Attending the bride as matron of honor was her sister, Tia McGivern. Best man was Will Jones, cousin of the groom.
A reception at the farm followed the ceremony.
The groom is a veteran of the U.S. Navy and was a federal firefighter at Fort Riley, Fort Leonard Wood, Mo., and in Iraq. He is employed with MidWest Plumbing. The bride is a 2001 De Soto High graduate and holds a bachelor’s degree from Black Hills State University. She is employed at Workforce Partnership.
After a honeymoon to Estes Park, Colo., the couple are at home in Basehor.

Do you think it is important for Shawnee to be bicycle-friendly?
I think it’s important. I do love and use the paths, but it would be nice to have lanes so we could use bikes to run errands - saving gas!
