Anniversary

Bell

Phil and Dixie Bell, Shawnee, recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary. Phil Bell and Dixie Dalrymple were married Feb. 15, 1959. To celebrate their anniversary, they went on a trip in January to Marco Island, Fla., with their daughter and family, then had a Valentine’s Day get-together with family and close friends at Colonial Church.
Phil worked for 38 years with Pillsbury Co., and is now working at Cabela’s. For 38 years, Dixie has been the owner/instructor of Dixie Bell Dance Center in Shawnee.
They are the parents of Chris Bell and Darsi and Mark Eveland and have two grandchildren, Mackenzie and Matthew Eveland.

Do you think the state should do more to help businesses near K-7 and Johnson Drive as an interchange is constructed?

Given the time the state has had to prepare, I don’t think completing the access road before starting/ closing Johnson Drive is an unreasonable request from these businesses or those of us who patronize them.
