Baty and Elliott

Angela Baty, Kansas City, Kan., and Timothy Elliott, Excelsior Springs, Mo., were married Feb. 5 in Kansas City, Kan., with the honorable Judge Kathleen Lynch officiating.
The bride is the daughter of James and Melody Baty and Butch and Dana McGinnis. The groom is the son of Dale Elliott and Pat and Judy White.
Alicia Baty was matron of honor. Best man was Paulo Martinez.
The bride is a student at Kansas City Area Technical School. The groom is employed by Ceva.
The couple live in Kansas City, Kan.

Bell and McCord

Jenny Bell and Nick McCord, both of Lenexa, announce their engagement and upcoming nuptials.
The bride-to-be is the daughter of Tony and Tammy Bell, Osawatomie. She is a graduate of University of Missouri – Kansas City.
The prospective groom is the son of Kent and Terri McCord, Shawnee. He is a graduate of Kansas University.
The couple plan a June 5, 2010, ceremony in Osawatomie.

Behee and de la Pena

Karen Behee and Eric de la Pena, both of Shawnee, announce their engagement and upcoming nuptials.
The bride-to-be is the daughter of Robert and Ophelia Behee, Shawnee. She is a 1983 graduate of Shawnee Mission Northwest High School and a 1987 graduate of Kansas University. She is an RN/certified nurse operating room employed by Spine and Scoliosis Surgery Inc.
The prospective groom is the son of Edward and Jane de la Pena, St. Louis. He is a 1983 graduate of Shawnee Mission Northwest and a 1987 graduate of Kansas State University. He is a senior underwriter with Metlife.
The couple plan a May 8, 2010, wedding at Shawnee United Methodist.

Anniversary

Walston

Marshall and Janice Walston, Shawnee, celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on March 6 with a reception at the Shawnee Civic Centre.
Marshall Walston and Janice Taylor were married March 4, 1960, at Armourdale Baptist Church.
Mr. Walston is retired from Dave Johnson General Contracting. He served in the U.S. Army with the 24th Division, from 1960 to 1967.
Mrs. Walston is retired from United Supply Co.
They are the parents of four sons, Charles, Brad, Jeff and Troy, and six grandchildren, Ethan, Justin, Sage, Annabelle, Kamilla and Trevor.
Annette Walston, along with all of the Walstons’ children and spouses, were hosts at the reception.
