The Shawnee Downtown Business Association, Boy Scouts, the City of Shawnee and numerous community volunteers will be joining Merriam in this patriotic
display celebrating our freedom and honoring our veterans. Thousands of American flags will be displayed in downtown Shawnee and downtown Merriam
June 28 through July 5.

Absolutely. We wouldn’t be able to sit here and eat lunch like this if it weren’t for the veterans. We’ve got millions of people that fought and died to save this country; it should be more than a bank holiday.
