Crossroads Christian Church is teaming up with the Sunflower House, Overland Park Police Department and the Shawnee Police Department to host a community safety day from 9 a.m. to noon May 3 at the church, 5855 Renner Rd.
The two-hour program on keeping kids safe online will take place 9-11 a.m., and the Shawnee Police Department will be available to make Child ID cards and perform car seat safety checks from 10 a.m. to noon.
Detective Craig Enloe of the Overland Park Police Department will give a presentation on financial crimes from 11 a.m. to noon. He will overview the warning signs and trends of identity theft and forgery.
Safety Day is free and open to the public. Childcare will be provided. For more information, please contact Colette Fangman at (913) 441-4098.
