Senior citizens pot luck, program scheduled for Feb. 11
The Ambassadors, a senior citizens group, will meet for lunch Feb. 11, at the Shawnee United Methodist Church, 10700 Johnson Drive.
Prior to an 11:30 a.m. potluck luncheon, nurses from the Johnson County Health Department will check blood pressure, starting at 10:30 a.m. The meeting also will include a program titled “Turning God’s Face,” which will be presented by Steve Dragert.
Those planning to attend the luncheon are asked to bring a covered dish, table service and a $2 donation. Bread and beverages will be provided, and first-time visitors are not asked to bring food. Everyone also is asked to bring pop tabs and paper goods as part of an effort to support the Ronald McDonald House charity.
