Birth: Jason Robert Saunders
Shannon and Kathy Saunders of Shawnee announce the birth of their son, Jason Robert. He was born Feb. 17, 2004, at Menorah Medical Center. He weighed 6 pounds, 14 ounces and was 20 inches long. Jason was welcomed home by his sister, Jessica. Maternal grandparents are Bob and Chris Thompson of Overland Park. Paternal grandparents are Sandy and Fadhil Al-Eraed of Overland Park and Jack and Karen Saunders of New Florence, Mo. Maternal great-grandparents are Carm and Manuel Guerra of Kansas City, Mo., and paternal great-grandmother is Wilma Brownlee of Nebraska.

Absolutely. We wouldn’t be able to sit here and eat lunch like this if it weren’t for the veterans. We’ve got millions of people that fought and died to save this country; it should be more than a bank holiday.
