Obit: Boyd E. Bushnell

Services for Boyd Edward Bushnell, 64, Kansas City, Kan., were Saturday, May 15, at Amos Family Chapel of Lenexa. Burial was in Maple Hill Cemetery in Kansas City, Kan.

Mr. Bushnell died Tuesday, May 11, 2004, at Providence Medical Center in Kansas City, Kan.

He was born Oct. 18, 1939, in Eureka, the son of Joe and Mabel Hayes Bushnell. He graduated from West Mineral High School in 1957.

Mr. Bushnell was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force. He managed injection and blow molding in the plastics industry for 35 years. He was later a truck driver for Watkins Motor Lines until he retired in 1998.

He was a Mason.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, two sisters and a stepdaughter.

Survivors include his wife, Ruby Bushnell, Kansas City, Kan.; two daughters, Jennene Miller, Tonganoxie, and Jolene Bushnell, Las Vegas; a son, Joe Bushnell, Lawrence; three stepsons, Robert Maxwell, San Jose, Calif.; James Maxwell, Oklahoma City; and Shane Maxwell, Topeka; two grandchildren, Joshua Miller and Bailey Bushnell; eight stepgrandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
