Obit: Donald E. Yunghans

Donald E. Yunghans, 80, died Friday, April 1, 2005 at the Medicalodge, 65th and Greeley, Kansas City, Kan.

Mr. Yunghans was born on Nov. 11, 1924, in Leavenworth, the son of Edwin A. and Vinetta A. (Poggemeyer) Yunghans. He was a lifelong member of St. Martin Lutheran Church E.L.C.A., Kansas City, Kan., and farmed in the Piper area for 50 years. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Evelyn Miller.

Survivors include a brother, Robert Yunghans, Piper; two sisters, Rose Anna Withers, Kansas City, Kan.; and Betty Miller, Bonner Springs; and 13 nieces and nephews.

Visitation was Monday, April 4, at the Davis Funeral Chapel. Funeral services were Tuesday, April 5, in the St. Martin Lutheran Church E.L.C.A., 13849 Hollingsworth Road., Kansas City, Kan. Burial followed at Sunset Memory Gardens. Memorial contributions may be made to the St. Martin Lutheran Church.
