Obit: Lorretta K. McKellips
1957-2005
Edwardsville
Lorretta K. McKellips, 47, Edwardsville, died Sunday, June 12, 2005, at Providence Medical Center in Kansas City, Kan. Memorial services will be at 7 p.m. Thursday at the Alden-Harrington Funeral Home in Bonner Springs. Friends may call from 6 to 7 p.m. Thursday at the Funeral Home prior to the service. Memorial contributions may be made to Wyandotte Cancer Action, in care of the funeral home.
Mrs. McKellips was born Dec. 22, 1957, at Scott Air Force Base in Illinois. She was a longtime area resident and had worked for more than 20 years at Swift-Ekrich Meat Co., and for the last five years she worked for Certainteed Fiberglass Mfg. prior to her illness. She enjoyed going to her home at the lake and being with family.
She is survived by her husband of 21 years, Ken McKellips; and her son, Jarred McKellips, both of the home; her father and stepmother, Lloyd and Dottie French, Brumley, Mo.; her mother and stepfather, Danny and Donna Beam, Tavares, Fla.; one brother; and many stepbrothers and sisters, nieces and nephews.
