Obit: Agnes G. Grimm

Shawnee

Agnes G. Grimm, 90, Shawnee, died Saturday, April 30, 2005, at the Shawnee Gardens Nursing Center. Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the St. Joseph Catholic Church with burial in the St. Joseph Cemetery. Visitation was Tuesday at the Amos Family Chapel of Shawnee. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.

Mrs. Grimm was born Feb. 5, 1915, in Kansas City, Kan., to Michael and Anna (Enoch) Bartko. In 1951 she moved to Shawnee and resided there until her death. Mrs. Grimm had been employed with the Old American Insurance Co. for more than 20 years, retiring in 1985.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Tony V. Grimm; two sons, Anthony V. Grimm; and Warren A. Grimm; a brother, Joseph Bartko; five sisters, Dorthy Shomin, Mary Robinson, Anna Cook, Margarette Wilchek and Eva Delich. Survivors include her daughter, Carole Faltermeier, Shawnee; three sons, Donald Grimm, Kansas City, Mo.; Ronald Grimm; and Gray Grimm, both of Overland Park; a brother, George Bartko, Kansas City, Kan.; 16 grandchildren and 28 great-grandchildren.
