Obit: Betty Jean Fisher
1922-2005
Shawnee
Betty Jean Fisher, 82, Shawnee, died at her home on Sunday, May 1, 2005. Services will be at 3 p.m. Friday at the Amos Family Chapel of Shawnee with burial at Pleasant View Cemetery. Visitation is from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the Chapel. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Olathe Medical Center Hospice.
Mrs. Fisher was born Sept. 4, 1922, in Kansas City, Kan. She was a loan officer and assistant cashier at the Shawnee State Bank for 33 years. She was a member of the Shawnee United Methodist Church, the Mary Ruth Circle and the American Legion 327 Auxiliary. She was an avid quilter who donated quilts all over the world.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, John G. Fisher, and her parents, Don and Pauline Rogers. Survivors include a son, Jerry Fisher, and his wife, Crystal, Merriam; a daughter, Elizabeth Oldham, Lenexa; three grandchildren, Wendy Kampschroeder, Mike Fisher and Matthew Oldham; and two great-grandchildren, Madison and Emma Kampschroeder.
She was a devoted mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
