Obit: Gilbert A. Graf
1957-2005
Kansas City, Kan.
Gilbert A. Graf, 47, Kansas City, Kan., died Wednesday, April 27, 2005, at the University of Kansas Hospital.
He was born July 31, 1957, in Hays, Kan., the son of Delphinus and Cecilia Katherine (Dinkel) Graf.
Mr. Graf was a cashier at Price Chopper at 78th and State Ave., in Kansas City, Kan., for many years. He enjoyed horses, bowling, traveling and spending time with his family.
He is survived by a son, Lawrence Graf, Lansing; a daughter, Amber Duarte, Edwards, Mo.; six brothers, Joe Graf, Woodston; Steven Graf, Hays; Duane Graf, Alton; Paul Graf, Stockton; Robert Graf, Leavenworth; and Jerry Graf, Stockton; six sisters, Rose Henry, Leavenworth; Mary Ferguson, Lansing; Susan McKinzie, Bonner Springs; Betty Westenberger, Leavenworth; Joyce Karlin, Hays; and Sheila Melton, Nebraska; four grandchildren, Caitlyn; Donovan; Tony and Dominic; his former wife, Becky Graf, Lansing; and many nieces and nephews. His parents and an infant brother preceded him in death.
Visitation and a Rosary were held Sunday at the Belden-Sexton-Sumpter Funeral Chapel, 500 Oak St., Leavenworth, (913) 682-1614. A Mass of Christian Burial celebrated by the Rev. Mike Stubbs was held Monday at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church, Lansing. Burial followed in the Mt. Muncie Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the family in care of the funeral home.
