June VanMeerhaeghe, 63, died Thursday, Nov. 24, 2005, at the Shawnee Mission Medical Center. Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Westside Family Church. Internment at Johnson County Memorial Gardens. Visitation was Tuesday at the Amos Family Chapel of Shawnee.

Mrs. VanMeerhaege was born June 25, 1942, in Kansas City, Mo., to Glen and Thelma Baker. She grew up in Mission and graduated from Shawnee Mission North High School in 1960. She was a bookkeeper and accountant and for several years ran her own business. She loved children and served as a nanny for several Kansas City families. She was an active member of Westside Family Church, where she worked for many years in the children's ministry and did volunteer work. Her church was her life and she loved her church and family dearly. She blessed many friends and family with her gifted handwork.

She is survived by her three children, Leah Seibel and husband, Alan, Enid, Okla.; Jeff VanMeerhaeghe and wife, Pam, Olathe; Chris VanMeerhaeghe and wife, Christina, Grain Valley, Mo.; two sisters, Elizabeth Hanna, Phoenix, Ariz.; and Dorothy Smith and husband, Bill, Dallas, Texas; a brother, Ralph Baker, Kansas City, Kan.; four grandchildren, Lindsey and Ali Seibel, Enid, Okla.; Kristi VanMeerhaeghe, Belton, Mo.; and Eric VanMeerhaeghe, Olathe; and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents and one brother, John Baker.
