Evidence seized in raid
Shawnee police Thursday morning discovered drugs, weapons and evidence of identity theft in a raid on a home in Shawnee.
A Shawnee special investigations unit serving a search warrant on a home in the 7000 block of Constance discovered eight pounds of marijuana, items related to identity theft or credit card fraud, a sawed-off shotgun, an Uzi-style assault rifle, a large amount of stolen merchandise and a combined $16,000 in cash in various locations in the house.
Sgt. Vince Walk said the police were led to the home as a result of a year-long investigation in which an undercover Shawnee Police detective infiltrated a drug organization within the area. During the course of the investigation, one occupant of the home was identified as a drug supplier.
