Robert Posey Pritchett, 75, of the Northland area of Kansas City, Mo. and formerly of Kansas City, Kan., died Saturday, Aug. 26, 2006, at the Woodbine Healthcare Center in Gladstone. Memorial services were Wednesday at the Alden-Harrington Funeral Home. Visitation was prior to the service. Memorial contributions can be made to the American Cancer Society in care of the funeral home.
Mr. Pritchett was born Oct. 16, 1930, in Kansas City, Kan. He was a corporal in the U.S. Air Force and a veteran of the Korean War. After returning from the military he attended and graduated from Central Missouri State University in Warrensburg. After college he went into sales and later owned his own wholesale jewelry business. He enjoyed golfing with friends and was a past member of the Dub's Dread Country Club.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Posey and Vivian Mae (Morrison) Pritchett; and by a son, Brian Keith Pritchett. Survivors include his wife of 49 years, Ann Pritchett, of the home; a daughter, Melissa Duprey, Shawnee; two granddaughters, Shannon and Natalie Pritchett, both of Kansas City, Mo.; and a sister, Virginia Claybrooks, Lenexa.
