The comeback cruise continues for the Shawnee Mission Northwest boys’ basketball team. For the seventh straight game, the Cougars allowed their opponents to take an early lead, and for the seventh straight game the Cougars erased that early deficit to claim victory — this time downing Olathe East, 37-34, in the Cougars’ first outing of 2006. The win puts Northwest at 7-0, the best start in school history.

Do you think it is important for Shawnee to be bicycle-friendly?

I think it’s important. I do love and use the paths, but it would be nice to have lanes so we could use bikes to run errands - saving gas!
