Obituary: Nadine Sanders

Doris "Nadine" Sanders, 79, of Linwood, died on June 30, 2007, at the Hillside Village Nursing Home in De Soto. Services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at the Alden-Harrington Funeral Home with a visitation an hour prior to the service also at the funeral home. Memorial contributions can be made to the Hospice of Kansas in care of the funeral home.
She was born on Dec. 25, 1927, in Clifton Hill, Mo. She was preceded in death by her parents, Alfred and Hazel Hess. Survivors include two sons, Merle Woody of Jacksonville, Mo., and Clayton Woody of Linwood; a stepdaughter, Faye Hughes of California, five grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Absolutely. We wouldn’t be able to sit here and eat lunch like this if it weren’t for the veterans. We’ve got millions of people that fought and died to save this country; it should be more than a bank holiday.
