Obituary: Rosemary Maurer Rusher

Rosemary Rusher, 79, of Shawnee, died Wednesday, June 27, 2007, at Shawnee Mission Medical Center. Services were Saturday at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Visitation and the rosary were Friday at The Amos Family Chapel of Shawnee. The family suggests memorial contributions may be made to St. Joseph Catholic Church or to Wegener's Gramulatosis.
Mrs. Rusher was born July 27, 1927, in Shawnee, to Robert and Julia Bousquet Maurer. On May 31, 1947, she married Ralph Rusher. She was a 70-year member of the St. Joseph Catholic Church, where she was involved in the Resurrection Choir and Perpetual Adoration.
She is survived by her husband, Ralph, of the home; a son, Mike Rusher of Shawnee; a daughter, Renee Mason of Glenwood Springs, Colo.; two sisters, Betty Lang and Joann Shikles; a brother; Robert J. Maurer; and three grandchildren, Matt Rusher, Kate Bernatz and Jonathan Mason.
