Letter: Mixed-up priorities
To the Editor:
As I was reading the article about residents protesting the Wal-Mart, I began to wonder where our priorities are living in such a wonderful neighborhood.
I can't believe that people would take time to waste their breath fighting something like this. If the people in these upper-class beautiful neighborhoods would fight for meaningful justice in this world it would be a better place. There are people in this city that are thankful for a Wal-Mart to come in because it means a job, it means food on the table and clothes on their back for them and their family.
I can't believe how selfish we have become in an area so wonderful that we would fight a Wal-Mart coming in. It seems to me that we have lost sight of what is really important in this world.
