Church sale slated

Shawnee — The Shawnee United Methodist women will hold a garage sale Sept. 21-22 to support mission projects.
The sale will be held from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 21, and from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 22, in the church gymnasium at 10700 Johnson Dr. There will be bargains galore, furniture, books, adults and children's clothing, household items and many miscellaneous items. There will be a bake sale. A pancake and sausage breakfast will be served by the Shawnee United Methodist Men in the church's Fellowship Hall from 7:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Saturday. The cost is $4 for adults and $1.50 for children under age 10.
Profits will go to missions in the Kansas City area and around the world.
