Knights begin fish fries

— Local Knights of Columbus Councils will begin weekly fish dinners for lent on Fridays Feb. 8.

Friday Night Fish Fries will be hosted by the Good Shepherd Knights of Columbus Council 11126 on each Friday through March 14 at Seuferling Hall in Good Shepherd Church, 12800 W. 75th St.

The knights will be serving both fried and baked catfish dinners and cheese pizza for the kids from 5 to 8 p.m. Admission is $7 for adults, $6.50 for seniors, $3.50 for children under 12 years old, and children under 5 years old are free.

The Sacred Heart Knights of Columbus Council () Lenten Fish Fry will be held 5-7 p.m. through lent. The menu will include fish, macaroni and cheese, and the ever-popular hot cross buns, plus a new addition for this year, Smoked Salmon.

Admission is $8 for adults, $7 for seniors, $4 for children, and children under 4 are free. Contact the parish office at (913) 422-5700 for more information.

The St. Joseph Knights of Columbus Council 2332 will have their all-you-can-eat “Friday Night Shrimp” through March 24 in their hall at 11221 Johnson Drive.

Doors open art 5 p.m. and serving continues until 7 p.m. Tickets are $13 for adults, $5 for children 12 and younger. Seniors over 60 will receive a dollar discount.

Shrimp, salad, corn, green beans and soft drinks are on the menu. Pizza at $1 a slice will be available. Padre Pio School will provide a variety of desserts. For information call event chairman Mike Reichmeier, (913) 631-356.
