Planting program starts March 5

Shawnee Get started with planning for spring plantings through a new program in Shawnee offered through the Johnson County Park and Recreation District.
Annual Flowers is for ages 16 and older. Participants are invited to bring a sack lunch and drink and sit amongst flowers at noon March 5 at the Family Tree Nursery, 7036 Nieman Rd. The cost for one 60-minute session is $4 for county residents or $5 for nonresidents.
