Library offers tax help
February 26, 2008
The Johnson County Library offers tax forms and resources in a variety of formats at its library locations and via the library's Web site: www.jocolibrary.org/taxes.
Many paper tax forms are available for pick up at the libraries; others, which are not available, may be photocopied from reproducible copies or accessed from Internet computers at the Library. The Library's Web site, www.jocolibrary.org/taxes, also has links to federal, state and city forms and information.
AARP Tax-Aide volunteers, trained with the cooperation of the Internal Revenue Service, will be offering help with individual tax returns for middle- and low-income citizens and are available through April 15. Talking points
Do you think Veterans Day should be a prominent holiday?
Absolutely. We wouldn’t be able to sit here and eat lunch like this if it weren’t for the veterans. We’ve got millions of people that fought and died to save this country; it should be more than a bank holiday.
