St. Pat’s parade committe announces grand marshal

The Shawnee St. Patrick's Parade Committee announced Monday that Tom Coffman, director of public relations for Deffenbaugh Industries, will serve as grand marshal for the 26th annual parade, which will take place at 1 p.m. March 16.
Coffman, 46, has been active in community and civic affairs for several years, and in 1991 he was named Irishman of the Year. He is a founding member of the Irish-American Club.
As is tradition, entry fees for the parade have been waived again this year.
Entry forms can be obtained on the club's Web site at www.irishamericanclubofshawnee.com or by contacting one of the parade co-chairs, Donna Sawyer at 631-8853 or Denise Shannon at 962-2195.
