Pizza for charity

Wheat State Pizza of Shawnee, 6485 Quivira Road, has joined with th e Shawnee Lions Club to raise funds for the club’s community service efforts. One day of each month at the pizza shop will be designated as Lions Day, when 20 percent of requested sales goes to the club.
Lion’s Club days will be the fourth Thursday of the month from January through October and the third Thursday of the month in November and December.
The club uses funds raised for charities combating vision diseases and contributing to disaster releif, Habitat for Humanity, Audio Reader and other local needs.
