Maranatha girls lose to Frankfort
The Maranatha Academy girls basketball team fell to Frankfort, 70-35, on Feb. 27 in the opening round of substate play. The loss ended the Eagles' season with a 2-19 record.
Bowler 47th at state
Shawnee Mission Northwest freshman bowler Jamie Queral finished in 47th place at the Kansas 6A State Bowling Championships in Wichita on Saturday. Her 161 average was almost 30 pins lower than her regular-season average. Queral bowled a 483 series.
