North’s Moore back in semifinals

Shawnee Mission North junior Kevin Moore is back in familiar territory.
Moore, a second-place finisher as a freshman and seventh-place finisher as a sophomore, is back in the semifinals at the Class 6A state tennis tournament.
Moore defeated Danny Jones of Goddard, 6-1, 6-2, in the first round Friday at Goddard High School. Moore then won his quarterfinal match against Gabe Nagy of Manhattan, 6-0, 6-2.
Moore is slated to play Shawnee Mission East's Chris Fotopoulos in the semifinals today. The other semifinal match pairs Blue Valley West's Max Helgeson and Blue Valley North's Jack Sock.
