St. James baseball, softball teams to play Monday in regionals

The St. James Academy baseball and softball teams will begin play in the Class 4A regional playoffs on Monday.
The Thunder baseball team earned the No. 4 seed with a 10-7 record and will play No. 5 De Soto (11-8) at 6:30 p.m. Monday at the 3&@ West Complex. A victory would advance St. James to the semifinals at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday against either Spring Hill or Baldwin. The championship game will follow at 6:30 p.m.
The Thunder softball team is the No. 8 seed and will play in Eudora. St. James (3-11) will play Baldwin (10-5) at 6:15 p.m. Monday. A victory would advance the Thunder to the semifinals at 3 p.m. Wednesday against either Tonganoxie or De Soto. The championship game will be at 6:15 p.m. Wednesday.
