SM North’s Moore 2nd at state again

Kevin Moore, a Shawnee Mission North junior, placed second on Saturday at the Class 6A state tennis tournament at Goddard High School.
Moore lost in the singles championship to Blue Valley North freshman Jack Sock, 6-1, 6-2.
Moore advanced to the finals by defeating Shawnee Mission East junior Chris Fotopoulos.
Sock finished his season undefeated at 17-0. Moore was 12-3.
The runner-up finish was the second in three years for Moore. He placed second as a freshman and seventh as a sophomore.
Shawnee Mission East won the team title.

Absolutely. We wouldn’t be able to sit here and eat lunch like this if it weren’t for the veterans. We’ve got millions of people that fought and died to save this country; it should be more than a bank holiday.
