St. James to play Tuesday at Seaman in quarterfinals

The St. James Academy girls soccer team will be the No. 3 seed in the Class 5-1A northeast quarterfinal bracket.
The Thunder (14-3-1) will play at 6 p.m. Tuesday at Topeka Seaman (14-2-1) with a berth in the state semifinals at stake.
The other northeast quarterfinal pits No. 1 St. Thomas Aquinas (15-1-1) against No. 4 Bishop Miege (8-10).
The south quarterfinal will pit No. 1 Andover (18-0) against No. 4 McPherson (14-3-1) and No. 2 Wichita Trinity Academy (16-1-1) against Wichita Kapaun-Mt. Carmel (16-2).
The winners of those four games will advance to the Class 5-1A state semifinals on Friday at Hummer Sports Complex in Topeka.
