Genealogy workshop offered Thursday

The Kansas Society of Sons of the American Revolution will present a free genealogy workshop at 7 p.m. Thursday at the Johnson County Central Resource Library, 9875 W. 87th St., Overland Park.
Men and women with a curiosity in learning how to investigate, document and solve genealogy research questions will find answers at this workshop. The focus will help individuals find clues to locating ancestors back in the American Revolution era.
The workshop is open to the public and will include handouts to assist attendees to pursue family research for organizations requiring lineage documentation. Information will also be provided on genealogy available through the Sons of the American Revolution.

The Central Resource Library also will have a Genealogy Lock-In from 7-10 p.m. July 11. Research with other genealogists and make use of volunteer assistance at this after-hours event. Genealogy tours will be available, as well.
