Weaver’s goes ‘green’
November 25, 2008
Weaver’s Auto Center Inc., 6502 Vista Drive, recently converted its paint operation to an environmentally-friendly basecoat, DuPont Refinish Cromax Pro, which it touted as the most productive waterborne basecoat available.
Tony Adams, owner, explained that the switch was made because waterborne products, when compared against solventborne products, dramatically reduce the amount of solvents and volatile organic compounds that otherwise evaporate into the local air.
“We made the move because we believe protecting the environment is the right thing to do. Now people in our community have the option to have their vehicle repaired with an environmentally friendly product,” Adams said.
The waterborne system chosen by Weaver’s results in superior surface coverage and color matching, enhancing the results for the vehicle owner. In addition, product and process tests and vehicle manufacturer approvals allow Weaver’s to produce the highest quality paint finishes for their customers.
