JagPRIDE wins another award

The Kansas Citizens’ Committee on Alcohol and Drug Abuse, in collaboration with Addiction and Prevention Services, named jagPRIDE of Mill Valley High School as the recipient of the 2008 Andrew O’Donovan Community Coalition Award of Excellence.
The award recognizes excellence in the substance abuse prevention and treatment work force, community volunteers and coalitions. JagPRIDE was nominated and selected for the top award for its ability to:
• Demonstrate strong, consistent leadership in the community
• Meet regularly and stay focused on its mission and vision statements
• Succeed due to the coalition’s activities
• Carry out its action plan with measurable, specific and attainable objectives
Members of jagPRIDE traveled to Salina on Sept. 26 to accept the award on behalf of Mill Valley High School.
