Mill Valley boys 3rd at Bonner Invite
Runners take off for the boys varsity race Saturday at the Bonner Springs Invitational at Wyandotte County Park.

The Mill Valley boys cross country team landed two runners in the top 20 and finished third on Saturday at the Bonner Springs Invitational at Wyandotte County Park.
Tyler Gude was 11th in the 5K race in 17:59. Teammate Jacob Rohrer was 13th in 18:09.
Lansing's Brandon Craig was the boys champion in 16:38.
De Soto won the team title with 71 points, Paola was second with 85 and Mill Valley had 105 points.
Maranatha Academy was fifth in the 12-team meet, and Mitch Heller led the way with an 18th-place finish in 18:21. Teammate Taylor Wallace was 23rd in 18:40.
St. James Academy's James Carney was the top performing Thunder runner. He was 29th in 19:02.
In the girls' 4K race, De Soto won the team title with 56 points, Olathe Northwest was second with 59 and Lansing was third with 101. De Soto's Ellie Sheridan was the meet champion in 15:20.
Maranatha was fifth in the team standings, Mill Valley was seventh and St. James was 10th.
Maranatha landed two runners in the top 10. Ali Bailey was eighth in 17:05 and Bethany Zarda was 10th in 17:13.
Kati Strickland led Mill Valley with a 16th-place finish in 17:20 and Meredith Brooks was 20th in 17:25.
St. James' Amy Feldkamp was 23rd in 17:36.
