Man arrested for lewd behavior at Wal-Mart

Shawnee Police on Thursday arrested an Olathe man for allegedly masturbating in the toy aisle of Wal-Mart.
Police arrested the 45-year-old about 6:50 p.m. as he left Wal-Mart Supercenter at 65th and Maurer. Capt. Bill Hisle said several different Wal-Mart customers observed the man masturbating in a toy aisle, though he reportedly stopped when someone entered the aisle, starting again when the person left.
The man was booked Thursday into the Johnson County Jail on a misdemeanor charge of lewd and lascivious behavior and posted a $2,000 bond Friday.
The Dispatch generally does not name people suspected of sex crimes until a conviction is reached in the case.

Do you think it is important for Shawnee to be bicycle-friendly?
I think it’s important. I do love and use the paths, but it would be nice to have lanes so we could use bikes to run errands - saving gas!
