June 9, 2009
“Touching outlets is a big no no.”
That’s what Benninghoven fifth-grader Megan Dunn warned in Kansas City Power & Light’s 2009 Safety Billboard Contest.
Megan’s poster of a girl being shocked won first prize in the contest, which was sponsored by KCP&L and Lamar Advertising Company.
The poster will be featured on several billboards around the Kansas City-metro.
Megan also received a $100 prize.

“We are all Irish on St. Patrick’s Day. My family won the best in family floats in Shawnee’s St. Patrick’s Day parade a few years back. We got to have a big trophy for the year. My sons love throwing out candy on the parade route.”
