By 12:50 p.m. Sunday, 3-year-old Chloe Joyce Pennington of Shawnee was green and ready to go. She had a green shirt with a shamrock sticker, green shamrock bowtie and two shamrock necklaces. On her head was one headband with green braids and another with shamrock antennae. Along with a jean skirt, she wore leggings covered in leprechauns and shamrocks.

The school board election is coming up on April 7. All candidates profess that maintaining a high level of education for our children is their primary concern, and I believe this to be true.

Do you think it is important for Shawnee to be bicycle-friendly?

I think it’s important. I do love and use the paths, but it would be nice to have lanes so we could use bikes to run errands - saving gas!
