Justin Bogart will remain the head boys basketball coach at Mill Valley High School.

Meanwhile, George Radell is out as the Jaguars’ head football coach after 10 years at the helm.

Radell turned in a letter of resignation Friday. It was approved by the board during the consent agenda at Monday’s De Soto USD 232 Board of Education meeting. Bogart — who has led the MVHS basketball program for 10 years — issued a six-minute defense of his program early in the meeting. After meeting with the School Board in executive session, Bogart emerged still in his position as head coach.

Radell’s resignation makes him the second MVHS coach to have stepped down this spring. Girls basketball coach Diana Krull recently resigned after four years at the helm.
