Broadmoor students bring home 26 medals in Kansas SkillsUSA

Broadmoor Technical Center students received 26 medals at this year's Kansas SkillsUSA competitions last month in Wichita.

Eleven Boradmoor students won gold medal and are eligible to compete in the SkillsUSA Nationals, June 21-25.

In addition, Broadmoor students swept the Graphic Design and Computer maintenance categories at the competition, which was April 19.

The following students won at the competition:

Gold medal winners: Baking- Elisa Landry; Culinary Arts- Garrett Lynn; Graphic Design- Lily Steil; Computer Maintenance Repair- Aaron Gomez; Job Interview- Rachel Vavricek; Entreprenuer Culinary Arts Team- Jeff Lefko, Mary Majewski, Mark Majewski, Elise Landry; TV Video Production- Keelin Austin & Zach Busey.

Other medal winners: Leah Brantly, 2nd place Baking; Andrew Wickersham, 3rd place Culinary Arts; Dylan McConnell, 2nd place Food & Beverage Service; Gabby Hellbusch, 3rd Place Food & Beverage Service; Kelsey Kirkpatrick, 2nd place Graphic Design; Rachel Vavricek, 3rd Place Graphic Design; Logal Miller & Matt Bangert, 2nd Place 3-D Computer Design; Alyssa Jolitz, 3rd Place 3-D Computer Design; Terry Grimes, 2nd Place Computer Maintenance Technology; Patrick Schuele, 3rd Place Computer Maintenance Technology; Patrick Schuele, 3rd Place Extemporary Speaking; Terry Grimes, Aaron Gomez & Brenden McKeighen, 2nd Place Community Service Project.
