USD 232 announces kindergarten roundup schedule

De Soto’s USD 232 recently released a schedule for the 2010 kindergarten roundup.
Kindergarten roundup is for parents of students entering kindergarten for the 2010-2011 school year.
Parents have the opportunity to start enrollment paperwork, meet the buildings principal and kindergarten teachers.
Parents should bring a certified copy of their child’s birth certificate, copy of immunization records and current utility bill to verify residency.
Horizon Elementary, 7210 Chouteau, Shawnee, will hold roundup at 6 p.m. April 6.
Prairie Ridge Elementary, 22405 Clear Creek Pkwy., Shawnee will hold roundup at 6 p.m. April 7.
Clear Creek Elementary, 5851 Monticello Road, Shawnee will hold roundup at 6 p.m. April 14.
Belmont Elementary and Mize Elementary will hold roundup at Mize, 7301 Mize Road, Shawnee at 6:30 p.m. April 22.
Riverview Elementary, 21550 West 47th Street, will hold roundup at 6 p.m. April 29.
Parents unsure what school their child will be attending can use the school locator on the district’s Web site, locator.usd232.org.

Do you think the state should do more to help businesses near K-7 and Johnson Drive as an interchange is constructed?
Given the time the state has had to prepare, I don’t think completing the access road before starting/ closing Johnson Drive is an unreasonable request from these businesses or those of us who patronize them.

I think it is a good time to check into home schooling or private schools:( I feel so bad for all the moms and dads who think they are sending off they special little one to a safe place, which I belive, on what I have seen with my child, not the case. Oh, get stuff in writing so you can sue if you have too.
