New exhibit feature opens at Wonderscope
March 18, 2010
Wonderscope Children’s Museum of Kansas City, 5700 King, opened a new exhibit feature this week.
The new barn is the first phase of the museum’s “Farm to Market” exhibit. Lauranne Hess, museum director, said children could play in the barn by collecting eggs from a chicken coop, feeding a calf, dressing up as farm animals and putting on a farm animal puppet show.
“Later this spring, we will add a farmer’s market where kids can pretend to buy and sell healthy foods,” Hess said.
The barn was made possible in part from a grant from the Junior League of Kansas City.

“I will vote in the primary, in advance, in person. I just think it is more fun that way.”
