Toilet paper drive at bank

June 8, 2011

Shawnee’s M&I bank offices are collecting items and raising money for City Union Mission as part of M&I Community Day, a nationwide mobilization of M&I employees to benefit the communities in which they work.

The effort continues through Thursday, June 9. The public is invited to bring toilet paper for City Union Mission to the following branch offices during regular business hours: 6333 Long St., 21900 Shawnee Mission Parkway and 7225 Renner Road.

M&I employees also will serve meals at the mission, in Kansas City, Mo., on Thursday.

“Although many M&I employees have other volunteer commitments throughout the year, we have found that M&I Community Day provides a unique experience that enables thousands of our employees to give back to their local communities,” Mark Furlong, president and CEO of Marshall & Ilsley Corporation, said.
