Shawnee area legislators recognized for perfect attendance
Shawnee Republican John Rubin is one of six Johnson County representatives recognized for perfect attendance during the 2011 legislative session, Kansas Speaker of the House Mike O’Neal announced today.
House of Representatives records indicate the representatives attended every day of the legislative session and did not miss a vote out of the 306 cast by the full House.
Brett Hildabrand, a Merriam Republican whose constituents include Shawnee residents, also had perfect attendance.
“While many other states have moved away from citizen legislatures, as Kansans we still cherish representation by our neighbors,” O’Neal said in his announcement. “While this creates difficulty for legislators who must work hard to balance their duties to their constituents with their professional lives and families, these representatives have put a tremendous amount of effort into serving their constituents.”
The House Clerk records, and recently confirmed, the official attendance and voting records of the Kansas House of Representatives.
