Home Helpers provides in-home senior care

Home Helpers of Kansas City West is now open at 7117 McCoy St. in Shawnee.
Inspired by his own aging parents’ desire to remain in their home, Michael Hannum of Shawnee launched the business in January to provide in-home care for residents of Shawnee, Leavenworth, Merriam, Lenexa and Olathe.
“I am excited about the opportunity to help local seniors lead longer and happier lives in the comfort of their own homes,” Hannum said in a news release. “At Home Helpers, we strive to deliver the same quality of care we’d expect for our own families and offer clients a more affordable alternative to assisted living or senior care facilities.”
Home Helpers, a national franchise, specializes in non-medical and personal care for seniors, new mothers, those recovering from illness or injury and individuals facing lifelong challenges. Services include companionship, bathing, meal preparation, dressing assistance, local transportation and light housekeeping.
