Talk to explore Kansas history through architecture
The next Shawnee Town Speakers Series program will take a look at history through architecture.
The program, Pediments and Impediments: Kansas History Through Architecture, is set for 7 p.m. Nov. 8 at Shawnee Town Hall, 11600 Johnson Drive. Admission is free.
Christy Davis of Davis Preservation will share stories of historic Kansas buildings and the people who built them. Her talk will explore how economic cycles and the cultural heritage of town founders affected construction.
